A Solemn High Mass: on the commemoration of Blessed Paul’s shipwreck in Malta. 10 February at seven o’clock in the evening. Please join us as the musicians and choirs of Saint Paul’s on Lake of the Isles, Saint Paul’s on-the-Hill, and Saint Martin’s by-the-Lake combine forces to premier a new congregational setting of the Mass by Craig Carnahan.

Rippling Voluntaries by Ottorino Respighi and Derek
Bourgeois lick the shores of this festive liturgy, anchored by Herbert Sumsion’s aquatic romp They that go down to the sea in ships, a choral setting of Psalm 107.

An Immaculate Reception will follow, fireside—in the Parish House. Childcare will be available. Life jackets are optional.

Hospitality and Presence are values at Saint Paul’s Church. Your help is needed staffing the office desk and answering the phone three to four hours a month. Flexible weekday shifts are from 9:30 to one o’clock in the afternoon, generally. Contact Shirley Holt or JoAnne Tierney for details or to sign up.

Upcoming Children’s Ministries events (contact Kelly Marie to sign up or with questions):

  • On 12 February, after the ten o’clock liturgy, make beautiful Valentines for your loved ones, for our college students, and for residents at The Episcopal Church Home. All are invited! (Thurston Room)
  • On 19 February after the ten o’clock liturgy, make a joyful noise as you try out instruments including bells, electric drums and horns, and have an opportunity to make a homemade instrument of your own. All ages welcome! (Thurston Room)
  • On 25 February, have a Family Winter Adventure with snow tubing and skiing at Elm Creek Park. At noon, we’ll meet at the entrance - 12400 James Deane Parkway Maple Grove, MN 55369. From there we will enjoy tubing, skiing and snowshoeing. This is an intergenerational event and all are invited.

Forward: Day by Day devotional guides are available in the Narthex. Please help yourself to one.
